This week at Cisco Live!, Nozomi Networks is proudly introducing its solution for real-time cyber security and OT network visibility on Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switches. The Catalyst 9300 Series switches are Cisco’s lead stackable enterprise switching platform for security, IoT, mobility, and cloud. They are the next generation of the company’s most widely deployed switching platform for IT and OT environments.
This integration comes as a result of being the ongoing-partner-of choice for Cisco’s industry-leading security business unit. It follows a similar announcement earlier this year at DistribuTECH, where we demonstrated our solutions running as an embedded component on the RUGGEDCOM Multi-Service Platforms from Siemens AG
This introduction is another important milestone in Nozomi Networks’ recently-launched container-based delivery model, which was developed in response to customer requests for an easy way to deploy Guardian into the security and IT infrastructure of Nozomi Networks’ partners and minimize architectural and device footprint.
Read on to find out about this consolidated offering that gives industrial operators a powerful switching platform with built-in industrial cyber security capabilities.
A Multi-Service ICS Security Solution via a Single Platform
Leading a rapidly expanding market for industrial cyber security and operational visibility, Nozomi Networks’ innovative use of a container-based delivery model addresses the need for more deployment options.
We announced a new generation of our solution last November, which includes the new container-based edition that can be embedded on the application compute capacity of switches, routers and other security infrastructure. As demonstrated in our work with Siemens Ruggedcom and now with Cisco, this format provides:
- Fast, flexible deployment options that leverage existing hardware
- Reduced procurement and maintenance costs
The Comprehensive Cisco Catalyst / Nozomi Networks ICS Security Solution
Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switches with the built-in Nozomi Networks solution provides operators and cyber security teams with a networking and switching platform that includes comprehensive cyber security capabilities. As we are sharing this week at Cisco LIVE!, our product is easily embedded into the Catalyst switch, allowing joint customers to:
- Automatically and intelligently discover the assets, connections, protocols and topologies of their industrial network environments
- Identify vulnerabilities and risks in their network
- Continuously monitor network communications and behavior for cyber security and operational risks
- Quickly detect threats with real-time alerts that include the information and context needed for rapid, precise response
The Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switches are Cisco’s lead stackable enterprise switching platform built for security, IoT, mobility, and cloud. They are the next generation of the industry’s most widely deployed switching platform.
Making Cyber Security Easier and More Efficient for Industrial Operators
Combining our real-time cyber security and visibility solution for industrial control networks with the Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switches is an early look into our work with Cisco to make cyber security more comprehensive, yet easier and less expensive for industrial operators.
There is even more to come in the very near future that includes deeper integration with Cisco’s DNA (DigitalNework Architecture), allowing customers to automate the deployment of Nozomi Networks solutions to Cisco Catalyst and Connected Grid Router (CGR) portfolios. The Cisco CGR integration involves a project currently underway for one of the world’s largest power utilities.
As cyber threats continue to escalate, and as the attack surface of industrial systems quickly grows in breadth and sophistication, delivering innovative solutions that make robust cyber resiliency possible, is a high priority.
If you are at Cisco LIVE! this week, representatives from both Nozomi Networks and Cisco will be available in the Security Village to tell you more about our joint solution.
If you are not attending and would like to learn more or are ready to engage in deeper discussions, the Nozomi Networks / Cisco team is ready to help. Simply contact us.
