Alexey will dive deep into various techniques that modern IoT botnets incorporate to tamper with security analysis and avoid being detected, focusing on new and rediscovered methods, their logic, and the consequences of their application. All the samples will come from the real attacks initiated in 2022 and intercepted by globally deployed and constantly evolving IoT honeypots.
Alexey will also introduce a brand-new open-source tool that will help the community protect against these techniques in an easy and automation-friendly way.

Roya Gordon is a Security Research Evangelist at Nozomi Networks where she provides insights for OT and IoT security solutions. Prior to Nozomi Networks, Roya worked as the Cyber Threat Intelligence SME for OT and Critical Infrastructure at Accenture, a Control Systems Cybersecurity Analyst at Idaho National Laboratory, and as an Intelligence Specialist in the United States Navy. She holds a Masters in Global Affairs with a focus on cyberwarfare from Florida International University (FIU).
