Nozomi Networks and Check Point Team to Secure Critical Infrastructure

Integrated Solution Strengthens end-to-end Cyber Security for ICS

MENLO PARK, Calif., February 13, 2017 – Nozomi Networks, the pioneer in cyber security and operational visibility for industrial control systems (ICS), and Check Point Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP), are partnering to deliver comprehensive real-time visibility and cyber security protection for industrial control networks. Integration with Check Point combines IT security strengths with OT availability requirements to give industrial networks strong cyber protection and resiliency.

According to the United States Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT) division of the US Department of Homeland Security, 295 critical infrastructure attacks were reported in 2015, up 20% over the previous year.

“Nozomi Networks’ innovative technology in combination with Check Point’s portfolio of advanced threat prevention products solves the OT security challenge in a way that is completely non-intrusive and safe for ICS and SCADA networks,” said Nozomi Networks CEO Edgard Capdevielle. “The combination of Nozomi Networks’ passive OT monitoring solution with Check Point’s active packet filtering devices at key points in the network gives industrial networks strong cyber protection and resiliency.”

The integrated Check Point and Nozomi Networks’ solution adds ICS intrusion detection and passive OT monitoring to the comprehensive Check Point security suite. Check Point’s Next-Generation Threat Prevention Platform and 1200R Rugged Appliances secure perimeters, the IT to OT connection and critical assets within industrial networks. In addition, Check Point’s SandBlast Agent secures PCs and laptops in the industrial network.

Nozomi Networks’ SCADAguardian connects to SPAN or mirror ports on Check Point’s 1200R Rugged Appliances and automatically identifies industrial assets and network activity in addition to providing real-time monitoring of cyber security and process anomalies. Abnormal ICS information is aggregated into meaningful alerts and communicated to the Check Point security management infrastructure.

“When security events are centrally managed, users have a comprehensive view of their IT and OT network posture,” said Jason Min, head of business and corporate development, Check Point. “A unified solution from Nozomi Networks and Check Point delivers automated reporting and prevention so users can secure their critical assets in any network and have complete visibility of SCADA traffic.”
